What is Emergency 911 or E911 service?
With Enhanced 911, the emergency operator receives the name, address, and origination phone number of the caller. This is the type of Emergency Service that is provided by traditional local phone service and also provided by TeleBlend. Some people like to refer to it as "real 911". This just means that TeleBlend's E911 functions like traditional E911, routing to the same Emergency Call Centers and providing the same level of identification support. However, please remember that there are limitations associated with 911 service provided by TeleBlend or any other broadband phone provider, and you should always maintain an alternative means of accessing emergency service.
